Muzzleloader Rifles

Many states allow muzzleloader rifles for hunting. Muzzleloaders also are used for black powder rifle target shooting and for re-enactments of historic events.

If you have an interest or current are seeking a muzzleloader, take a look at the muzzleloaders featured below or go to the complete catalog of rifles, including supplies and accessories at the bottom of this page.

Signting in a Black Powder Rifle

Muzzleloader rifles should be sighted in much the same way a centerfire rifle is sighted in. Precisely measure each load of power. Set a target 25 yards away, lay the rifle on a steady bench rest. Keep shooting and fine-tuning your sight adjustments until you are satisfied.

Typically, because of fowling and shipping, you will find it easier and cheaper to deal with various substitutes like Hodgdon’s Pyrodex, ClearShot and Triple 7 "propellants" rather than black powder, which the common carriers and the federal government defines as an "explosive".

WARNING: You must be 21 or older to purchase firearms. All firearms are shipped UPS and require an adult signature upon delivery. Please check your State, County and City laws for restrictions before ordering firearms. You need to be certain that what you purchase is not included in the "generic" class of illegal weapon too.
