Raisin suits were characterized by vintage fabrics and customized prints and colors. The demand for these suits grew throughout the 80's and into the 90's, bringing with it company growth and the addition of Leilani, Radio Fiji and Rasins Girls swim brands. In 1993 Quiksilver acquired Raisins with the intent to become a major competitor in the swimwear industry. To make this happen Quiksilver took its first step by hiring top swimwear designer, Leslie Tobia. Leslie's reputation for creativity and vision for swimwear fashion has been undeniable. She has distinguished the Raisins brand with a style, best described by Leslie herself, as beachy, active, colorful, and wholesome with a bit of an edge; great quality and always with a special trim detail or twist.
